This hands-on workshop covers the process of recording and mixing in Apple's Logic Pro Tools. The course is perfect for engineers or anyone just starting out using the software. With class discussions and hands-on guided exercises, you will start with first steps of setting up your interface and plugging in a microphone, continue with editing and preparing your final session. Additional time will be spent on finishing steps necessary to clean up your tracks, organize your session, streamline your workflow, and export your final mix.
Topics covered include: Track Types, I/O, Punch modes, Take Folders, Quick Swipe, Editing, Flex Time, Workflow and Session Organization, Busses & Auxes, Basic mix processing (EQ, Compression, Delay, Reverb, and Dither & Exporting.
This workshop is a full day, Saturday, 10:00am-5:00pm.

In this intensive workshop, DJ/Producer Jason Petrin (Jefr Tale, Stuart Software, Str!pe) will present the theory and technique behind some of the current EDM trends and provide examples of how to incorporate this knowledge into your own compositions. The workshop will take place in Ableton Live and use a variety of software instruments including Native Instruments Massive & FM8, as well as plug-ins from Waves, Soundtoys, and more. This workshop runs two Wednesdays, 4/16 & 4/23, 6:30-9:30pm. Please note: These classes are offered as workshops and not as occupational training programs.
