This workshop is aimed at the beginner, to explain the fundamental workings of a photographer's most basic and useful tool: the Digital Single Reflex Camera. We will learn how the camera works to produce a correctly exposed image, and explore how to control the camera to produce meaningful photographic images.

In this intensive workshop, DJ/Producer Jason Petrin (Jefr Tale, Stuart Software, Str!pe) will present the theory and technique behind some of the current EDM trends and provide examples of how to incorporate this knowledge into your own compositions. The workshop will take place in Ableton Live and use a variety of software instruments including Native Instruments Massive & FM8, as well as plug-ins from Waves, Soundtoys, and more. This hands-on workshop covers the process of recording in Pro Tools. The course is perfect for anyone just starting out using the software. We will cover the first steps of setting up your interface and plugging in a microphone and continue to the final steps of cleaning up your session to prepare for final editing and mixdown. Topics covered include: Track Types, I/O Punch modes, Playlists, Comping, Basic Editing, Session Consolidation. This workshop runs two evenings, Thursdays, 2/12 & 2/19, 6:30-9:30pm.
